"Big John" reminds me of the cartoon - "Baby Huey"....some of you remember that! His size is intimidating to some....but he is so very sweet ---that when with him, one forgets how big he is! ----He has a very smooth ride and will go on a little faster when called on. Big John will go in his gaits and then come back down to a very slow walk. He loves to please and is so very humble! We have ridden him to test him in all the challenging places we have...including the heavy traffic, and he does not pay any attention.
Big John is a contented horse....as with all of our horses, he has an easy mouth, - stops on voice command - and will stand and wait. He is 16.1 and will be great for tall riders who need the height. We have found that horses over 15.2 - are very difficult to find, - at least - the "kind we need". He is an amazing strong horse - and very beautiful with his markings!
Big John has been trail rode all over the country. He is a cautious stepper....watching where he steps....and he will cross anything you ask of him! We have not found one thing that he hesitates doing! He is humble and wants to please.....
He gets along with other horses and has been the humble one in the pasture while here. We have had him awhile and everyone here just loves him! The children think it is wonderful that he is so big!! He is not for small children to ride alone.... but for experienced riders ages 8 up - if the height doesn't intimidate them....he is great! He is an awesome trail horse!!!!!!!
We invite you to come and visit anytime....but for those of you who can't make the trip, we do everything possible to make buying your next horse a pleasurable experience. I do obtain transport quotes upon request. When a family cannot come in person - I feel they cannot ask too many questions or see too many videos. It is a Very important decision.....and we do everything possible to make sure the decision we make is the right one!
