Lillie Kate is a great family horse! She is sweet, calm, quiet, - exceptional ground manners, & a very smooth ride! She is safe for the entire family or new riders who visit and cannot ride!!! She is So Sweet!

I recently decided to take a month + off when I get our horses placed-------and SINCE WE ARE GOING INTO WINTER, AND BECAUSE I WANT TO BE HERE PERSONALLY WHEN WORKING WITH THE HORSES ---------I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS without placing them first.....Some have been lowered to cost OR BELOW ---- for this reason! We think at some point in her life she must have been mistreated (maybe around her head).......and lost trust in humans........It breaks my heart to see a horse show fear for human touch, as Katie did (with her moving her head when you move when in a hurry) when she first came here. Now, she is so much better but with men - it does take a couple of days of touching and petting for "someone new" to earn her trust.......

Katie is a wonderful size for the entire family. She is six years old and 13.3....and has been ridden on trail rides, including camping trips, all of her life. She has seen the most difficult trails and will cross over creeks, ditches, downed trees, brush, hills, ---weeds......and is so good with riding along traffic.

Barking dogs back in the rental park do not phase her..... neither do semi's.....the train with all it's noise and whistle.......tractor, bush hog- mowers......she, as with all of our horses have been subjected to everything we can possible think of to do our very best to find out if they have a problem "before" they leave here....and if so, to what extent is their behavior.

Katie has a very smooth ride....she stops on voice command, stands to mount...and waits....

She is patient.....and absolutely will take all the loving and petting one can give her!! Katie is great with bathing except....she does not like for you to hit her in the face with the water hose.....you have to just gently, slow and easy - shower her face... With everything all you have to do is let her hear your voice....talk to her....be slow with her --she listens....and she responds in such a postive way!! Don't miss out on this beautiful....both in heart and personality.....mare that will make someone an awesome trail horse and companion!!
