Taylor Swift's "Romeo"
Strawberry Roan Gelding
SOLD
"Romeo" is SO loving and affectionate! He has a very smooth gait and he is a Great trail horse with years of Experience! He is also BUGGY BROKE - single or double! He is beautiful!
"ROMEO" IS A BEAUTIFULLY marked strawberry roan that has the BEST ground manners (as can be seen in his videos). He stands to mount --stops on voice command - stands and waits patiently (see videos on youtube.com). Romeo came to us from a local farm in our town of Science Hill. He was born and raised there. Romeo has been trail ridden all of his life....by a man ---on very challenging and difficult trails! He has been on weekly camping trips. We have found that Romeo is more of a man's horse. Or - for an Experienced - Confident Rider. He is very affectionate for the whole family and children, wonderful ground manners..calm, quiet, still, ---but with riding, he does better with men or confident riders. There have been young girls and women here - that have ridden him --- they were not timid riders. Krisen and others love him. They are confident, experienced riders ---and Romeo knows that. He can sense a timid rider.....He doesn't do anything except stop......with walking on out into his gait. Nothing dangerous....just "occasionally" he will stop.....and basically not do anything.... he just knows he can get away with it with timid riders. They won't urge him to go on.....out of fear. Romeo doesn't have a mean bone in him..... Absolutely no hesitation with confident riders. Romeo is a very smart horse.....he knows what kind of rider he has on his back, ---and if one will let him, he will play around thinking he can do what he wants when.....he just decides to stop. He does not do this except when walking away from the stables "STARTING" down the driveway. It is the "only place" that he does this. He is not barn sour or buddy sour......-- I think he could be if allowed to be as a timid rider would do. HE DOES NOT DO THIS WITH CONFIDENT RIDERS. HE WALKS RIGHT OUT OF THE STABLE AND DOWN THE DRIVEWAY WITH NO HESITATION. He is an awesome horse in every way -----....but he has fun with people who fear horses. I love that he will go in his gait.....go a little faster...then he will come right back down to a slow walk and do that all day. He stops on voice command and will just stand there until you tell him to move again! He has been takin on very long trailrides ...... He never quits....He has such a big heart! He will ride front, center, or lag behind! He will never hesitate to go off on a trail away from the group - alone. No hesitation on crossing creeks, ditches, logs, going through brush, trees, weeds.......whatever the rider ask of him...he is contented to do. Romeo is a very calm, quiet.....still in his manners and movements - horse. While standing in the crossties, he is very still. He is easy to do all things with, clip, load, bathe, shoe, and so easy to catch! He is right there in your face when you get to the fence!!!! He LOVES ATTENTION! He looks stunning in the pasture.....his color and markings are very beautiful! Romeo has a very smooth gait....with a little faster gait....and a beautiful, nice easy slow walk. You can turn loose of his reins and walk away...and he will stand there and wait for you (see videos). He will be great for those of you who love to trail ride! And want a fun horse to ride! We have ridden him along the highway (very busy here!!! with ambulances, heavy traffic, log trucks, semi's)......we have ridden him back in the rental park with 4-wheelers, --and several barking dogs...."some nipping at the heels". Romeo just goes right on with no hesitation. We were told that Romeo is Buggy Broke, single or double. We were told that he is really "a great buggy horse". But we personally, have not done this as we do not have a buggy! So, please know, - we personally do not know, but knowing the family that previously had him, they are good people, and they are the ones that broke him to pull a buggy. He is a Awesome Trail Horse and a sweet, sweet companion and friend for the family! If you have any questions at all, about any of our horses, please just ask. You may e-mail us or call us at (606) 423-5054!
