Saddle off - quiet manners

As you can see, our Stonecutter's Registered name is "Sex Stone". I sometimes wonder where the names come from on registered horses! I really do. Anyway!!! Stonecutter has been with us since the last of January. We have ridden him consistently (rarely do we miss)! - every other day as we do all of our horses. I have spent a lot of time with him just observing his habits and personality. He is a very sweet horse......affectionate....loves attention! He lowers his head for you to bridle, and stands in the crossties for however long you want! He is very patient and very quiet mannered. Stonecutter loves his baths! He is easy to shoe, load, haul, clip, bathe, and catch! And he has a big heart! He truly is a very, very sweet horse to be around. Anyone would love him in just a very short time just being with him! And be sure and check out his Pedigree below!!!

We have ridden him, as we do all of our horses, on Highway 27, in front of our home. He is not afraid of any kind of traffic, including heavy road equipment that is presently working along the highway. We will be getting videos of this soon. Stonecutter has also been back in the rental park with one family that has four 4-wheelers! There are children constantly playing, riding bikes, basketball, - and cycles. We also have close by a family that target shoots often. Stonecutter has been exposed to all of these things. He has been taken on trails....with woods, creeks, and difficult areas. He has a smooth gait.....and is voice trained to stop. He has so many good things about him! Stonecutter does not hesitate to do anything you ask....."except"!! He will not stand still to mount! (Please see video). He is much better now than when he first arrived. We have worked with him.....but he is still too much for many riders due to having to mount so quickly!!!

Other than that.....he is an amazing horse!! And how many horses to you see with his color.....we don't come across many marked so beautiful as he is! He is a picture!

"Stonecutter" is a gorgeous gray gelding with the sweetest disposition a horse could have! He has exceptional bloodlines as you can see below on his pedigree! He is easy to catch, clip, bathe, load, haul, and shoe! He has an easy mouth, and he will back with ease! He will stand in the crossties or tied to a fence with patience! Stonecutter loves his baths! He has the very best ground manners and so much patience, but he absolutely will not stand to mount! This is the reason he is being listed under "For Advanced Riders". Stonecutter is not for nervous and timid riders. He is not for beginner riders! He is not for riders who are slow when mounting a horse! When children visit - they are allowed to pet him.....(he loves attention).....they stand close to him in the crossties because he has shown nothing but gentleness and patience. But we have not allowed them to ride Stonecutter. I spend so much time observing the behavior of all the horses and Stonecutter has shown absolutely no aggressive behavior with us or with other horses. He rides good alone or in a group. He does not care to leave the other horses and ride off alone. He does not hesitate to do anything we ask.....except - standing still to mount! He will cross creeks, ditches, and difficult obstacles. We have rode him in the rental park with the barking dogs, on the highway with lots of traffic, and along side the road equipment. We have tested this horse as we do all of our horses - and subjected him to everything we possibly can think of. He is alert but he does not jump to the side or try to run off. He just perks his head high and listens and watches whatever has his attention.

Stonecutter is a beautiful horse with a beautiful spirit! For someone who has experience in riding, he is a great trail horse! One thing for sure! He will be one of the prettiest in the group!! If you can ride....don't miss out on this beauty!!
